Gold Coast Sailing with Getaway Sailing on the Gold Coast

“EAU DE VIE“ was built in France in 1999. The name translated “Spirit of Life”. She is a masthead sloop, 35ft long with a 3 cabin layout.

Eau de Vie's interior is in original teak and the galley (kitchen) and saloon are midships with the head (toilet) to starboard at the bottom of the companion way. This sailing ship also has a hot / cold shower , digital TV with DVD, Fusion stereo sound system , fridge , gas cook top and oven and a 6 piece dinning set. Her deck is laid teak.

Eau De Vie is powered by a Volvo Penta 2030 and has a cruise speed of 6 kts under motor. There is a Quicksilver 3.1 mtr rigid bottom inflatable tender power by a 3.3 Mercury.

Our sailing boat is berthed at Runaway Bay Marina on the Gold Coast.

Her Sailing History

Eau De Vie has had a recent service and her out haul completed in March 2021, she was once sailing as a commercial ship in the Pittwater, NSW and was then put into retirement. Now she is back and in 2D / 2C survey QLD meeting all the current requirements with Marine Safety Queensland. The new National Standards for Commercial Vessels is very thorough and has safety as its number one consideration.
